剧情：
位于北海道的某个小都会,在市当局任务的奥津（玉山铁二 饰）正跟共事先往密林深处,未多少前此处发明一辆放弃的汽车,车内则有一具中年女子跟一条狗的骸骨。汽车表里除了多少张沿途花费小票外,不任何可以证实该女子身份的证件。经对骸骨的检修得悉,男子逝世后长达半年时光狗狗才随之逝世去。童 年有着养狗阅历的奥津对男子的阅历倍感猎奇,他公费前毕命世者路程的出发点——东京考察,并在路上搭载了偷偷跑到东京选秀的乡亲美女有希（川岛海荷 饰）。二人以购物小票为线索,一起追随着中年女子“前田”（西田敏行 饰）及其爱犬Happy的脚印。经由看望,他们垂垂拼集出“前田”老师那平常寥寂的人生…… 本片依据村上たかし的同名漫画改编。
