一对生涯在阿富汗都城卡布尔的儿童兄妹救下了一只听说是由本国人带来的小狗,而其余的孩子们正盘算损害这只狗。他们带着狗离开了都会的牢狱。牢狱的保卫告知他们探视的时光曾经从前了,但孩子们告知保卫,他们不是探视者,而是牢狱的囚犯。保卫问他们,假如是囚犯,为什么会在牢狱的表面。他们答复说：“咱们是晚上的囚犯。”保卫好像明确了。于是,经由了身材检讨后,孩子们被带到了牢房里。这时,所有都清晰了。本来孩子们的母亲是这所牢狱的囚犯,而她的孩子们在晚上无家可归,以是孩子们被答应晚下去跟他们的母亲呆在一同留宿。 第二天,牢狱的典狱长发明白这件事,他谢绝让孩子们进入牢狱,而孩子们还在徒劳的乞求,素性能让他们进入牢狱留宿。孩子们原告知,牢狱不是孤儿院,也不是为那些无家可归的人预备的遁迹所,牢狱是关押那些犯法的人的处所。于是,为了能有个处所生涯,两个孩子预备试着去犯法。
